Speculations about a Twisted Metal game for the PS3 have been going on for a very long time. Series director David Jaffe had once indicated that there would be an encoded message about his next project in Twisted Metal: Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition for the PS2. The PS2 game is a port of the Twisted Metal: Head On game for the PS2.
The hint was decoded by gamers at NeoGAF and GameFAQs who posted it on the internet. The code pointed to the conclusion that Twisted Metal will be heading to the PlayStation 3. The code was in the unlocked videos wherein it comprised of various numbers that when put in alphabetical order and put through the Din’s Fire from Zelda show, ‘Twisted Metal is on PSTHREE’.
Gaming blog Kotaku also got in touch with David Jaffe who confirmed that a Twisted Metal game is coming on the PS3. However, there are no details about the launch dates. It is not clear whether the game will be a downloadable one or whether it will be distributed via the retail channel.
