Yakuza Series Director Brings Binary Domain to Light

After a string of triumphant shots in a certain periphery, several developers often tend to look out for a change of air. In an interview with Famitsu magazine, director of the popular Japanese Yakuza franchise, Toshihiro Nagoshi, has ostensibly revealed that his studio’s next venture moves away from the gangster saga to a sci-fi action adventure. This new game has been titled as Binary Domain and will be released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles.

According to 1Up, the developer has disclosed that this new game will unleash a major online battleground. Set in 2080, it has been staged across the futuristic city of Tokyo. The apparent premise of the title pits humans against robots, making for an interesting gameplay plot. Currently under development, this title is being crafted for catering to international gamers besides the traditional Japanese fans of the developer.

It has been stated that the enemy AI will put up a tough contest for players while transforming the online gaming space into a ‘fun’ zone. Further, gamers can proceed in the title based on the teamwork between their characters. The interview was published with few in-game visuals and one of these cutscene shots have been touted to appear from a third-person perspective. This is quite distinctive from the conventional work pulled off by the director’s troupe.

We’ve heard no official word about the release date and other details of Binary Domain. The first promo video of the title is expected to hit the web today. It is anticipated that the video can unravel more information about the game.
