After a string of titles announced for handhelds, it seems Sega doesn’t want to disappoint its PC fans. Sega and Three Rings have declared that Spiral Knights, their online action-adventure game can be downloaded via the Steam website.
Spiral Knights is an online action-adventure game where gamers fight creatures of cradle. They must survive by searching for objects in the ever-changing dungeons beneath the surface. The visuals in this game are period in style. Spiral Knights features keyboard and mouse controls which are easy to get used to.
“Joining the prestigious library of games on Steam doesn’t just mean that Spiral Knights is now available to a wider audience, but also that players now have the added support of a fantastic, deeply-established gaming community. We know the millions of new adventurers who can now easily access the game through Steam will enjoy it every bit as much as our existing players do,” commented Haruki Satomi, Vice President of Digital Business at Sega of America.
Gamers can build their own guilds, create new gear and modify the looks and abilities of their characters. The game offers match making in co-op mode with parties of up to 4 players. Gear and weapons of the characters are upgradable throughout the game.
Daniel James, CEO of Three Rings, revealed, “A game with strong co-operative and social elements like Spiral Knights is, put simply, a great fit for Steam. Beyond the convenience of automatic game updates and easy Energy purchases through Steam, our players will be able to enjoy their time in the Clockworks with their existing Friends List members, aided by built-in voice chat and instant messaging.”
Spiral Knights is now available to download for free on the Steam website.
