Splinter Cell: Blacklist Release Date Leaked

If a listing from online retailer Amazon UK is to be believed, then Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist may well be coming out on March 29, 2013. According to the website, a limited edition of the game, comprising a number of added contents, will be doled out to all those who pre-order it.

Prior to this, the only release information that we had was that it will be coming out during the spring of next year. VideoGamer was first to spot this listing on Amazon UK’s online portal which is still displaying the title’s launch date as March 29, 2013. Revealed for the first time at this year’s E3, the new Splinter Cell game is all set to kick in various fresh gameplay features, some of which can be spotted in the demo we’ve posted below.

The limited edition, which will be available with the game’s pre-orders, is said to be doled out in a steelbook case and it will contain a map of the conflict zone as well as extra in-game items. These include an exclusive Upper Echelon operational suit with 5 armor pieces and ‘a unique’ visual and damage protection bonus, upper Echelon goggles that shine in gold and a bonus mission.

The last game to be released under the series came back in 2010 in the form of Splinter Cell: Conviction which managed to grab an Overall score of 8.5/10 in our review. The latest game will have its story continuing after the events in Conviction.

The March 29, 2013 release date of Splinter Cell: Blacklist is still to be confirmed by Ubisoft. We’ll have more on it when it does.
