Starting July 17, PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers will be able to grab for themselves the new Arctic Strike DLC pack for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Ubisoft is still to confirm this add-on for the game’s PC version, which faced lots of bug issues post its delayed launch.

The Arctic Strike DLC is actually a map pack for the title’s multiplayer component. It will feature three new maps for competitive play, while a new environment named Guerilla will also be added to its co-op mode. And then there will even be a fresh multiplayer mode dubbed Stockade, the details of which haven’t been revealed by Ubisoft yet.

A total of six weapons will form part of the DLC, two each for the three classes made available in the game’s multiplayer section. While the Rifleman rank will get the F2000 and the CZS805 assault rifles, the Scout class will be bestowed with the Type 05 JS and the BT MP9 submachine guns. Lastly, the Engineer class will be seen receiving the OCP-11 and the Mk17 weapons through the DLC.

Moreover, new Achievements will also be included in this add-on which is set to raise the level cap by 10 points. Future Soldier was first launched for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in May this year, while its PC release took place late in June. We reviewed its PS3 version and gave it a good 8/10 for its excellent stealth-based gameplay.

The Arctic Strike DLC for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be doled out via PSN and Xbox Live starting July 17. It will be priced at 7.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 685) and 800 Microsoft Points, respectively.
