Madagascar Kartz game zooms into stores next month

The call of the wild will soon be heard in the concrete jungle next month. It was announced by Activision Publishing Inc that DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc’s title namely Madagascar Kartz would release on October 27, 2009. The fun title is a mixture of kart racing and characters as well as the settings of the Madagascar franchise by DreamWorks Animation.

Wii owners can take advantage of a special bundle which comprises of a steering wheel along with the Wii version of the game. The Wii Remote seamlessly fits into the wheel from where players can control all the action.

“The Madagascar films are packed with personality and can be enjoyed by everyone. We designed DreamWorks’ Madagascar Kartz with the same idea. With the whole family competing against each other as their favorite zoosters, you have never seen action this wild!” exclaimed David Oxford, Activision Publishing.

The driver’s cockpit will feature the likes of many familiar faces from the acclaimed animated movie Madagascar. These animals include Alex, Gloria, Marty, Melman, King Julien and espionage penguins. Gamers can roll out onto the many tracks offered in the game like the New York City Zoo, the volcano, plane crash site and many others.

They can power-up and execute outlandish flips, radical rolls and crazy jumps. Players can also outdo their competition by dishing out pickups like power boosts, projectiles and obstacles. Up to four players can take part through the split-screen while racing in different modes like Quick Race, Time Trial and Championship modes.

DreamWorks’ Madagascar Kartz is compatible with the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS when it hits stores by the end of October. The price is however not disclosed by the company as yet.
