Test Drive Unlimited 2 Enters Closed Beta Testing Phase

Earlier this year, Atari announced that a new iteration in the popular Test Drive Unlimited series will be released this autumn. According to the company, the preliminary phase of the closed beta testing for Test Drive Unlimited 2 has initiated. To ensure that the title offers a powerful performance, an elite group of dedicated beta testers have been selected for this closed beta.

Using the series’ patented Massively Open Online Racing system optimally, beta testers will play the game with the introduction of new content coming via automatic updates. They will test the game with day and night cycles in the midst of changing in-game weather conditions. The inputs from the group will help the company to fortify the title. This, in turn, will allow gamers to compete and team up with other players while they share their achievements and creations online.

The game will startle racing tracks with the most desired cars which have been infused with Eden’s advanced driving technology and performance dynamics. Players can reflect their online persona by personalizing their vehicles, acquiring property, purchasing classy apparels and adding a hi-end leaf to their lifestyle.

The all-new races portrayed in the game come with vehicle classes and environment challenges set in unique locations. The soundtrack of this title will come from DJ Paul Oakenfold, enclosing an Ibiza lifestyle in the virtual world. Players can also experience social multiplayer driving by the way of clubs embracing friend networks that have been created along the way.

The current closed beta testing phase will analyze the PC version of the game. The participants of the test have been selected on certain criteria including knowledge possessed by players about the racing genre, passion for video games, and gaming system requirements. The process of selecting testers in currently underway as the company has invited more testers via email.
