The Steel Rain Map pack has unleashed a fiery fight on the Killzone 3 domain. Extending this Jetpacks versus Exoskeletons warfare, the developer is now ready to dish out a new online extravaganza of sorts. Well, a post on the official PlayStation blog has detailed the upcoming Killzone 3 From The Ashes DLC Pack, offering a gist of what’s in-store.
This add-on for the FPS brings together two Guerrilla Warfare maps and two Warzone maps for painting a new picture of the battle. One of the Warzone maps namely Lente Missile Base makes for a 24-player online gameplay. Located inside an abandoned missile base near the Kanzan Jungle, it is said to offer shelter to Helghan’s strange plant life. Whether gamers support the ISA or have stood tall with the Helghast forces, they can fight it out for conquering the facility in the midst of raging bullets.
The blog post hosts two videos, highlighting the construction of in-game environments across Lente Missile Base and Mobile Factory. The latter is a Guerrilla Warfare map, unfolding a combat zone for 16 players on one of the largest vehicles featured in the title’s single player campaign. Touted to be a strategic asset, it extends yet another field to knife and gun down opponents in this ambush.
The Killzone 3 From The Ashes DLC Pack will be up for grabs on the PlayStation Store starting June 21, 2011 at the price of 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 223). Gamers who haven’t yet picked even a single add-on can now lay hands on the DLC Bundle Pack which comprises the Retro Pack, the Steel Rain Pack and the From The Ashes Pack. This will be out alongside the upcoming bundle for the price of 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 447).
