Gamers are always excited when a movie based on a video game franchise is released. One such movie that was going to release this year was the one that was based on Max Payne. The Max Payne movie released last week in theaters but it was given bad reviews by the critics.
But it seems that the bad reviews haven’t deterred the movie goers as Max Payne is on the top of the box office. What’s more, the movie based on Max Payne has raked in eighteen million dollars in the weekend. The other movies that were in the top five were Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Oliver Stone’s presidential biopic W.
The Max Payne movie stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. It has been directed by John Moore, who has previously worked on films such as Behind Enemy Lines and Flight of the Phoenix. Who knows, they may even come out with a sequel to the Max Payne movie.
