Eco-friendly Splitfish FragFX Shark Controller on Display at Gamescom 2010

Last month, we reported about the new lineup of releases to be introduced by Splitfish at Gamescom 2010. Now, as the company unfolds a series of products which will be showcased at the event, it has unveiled a new peripheral from its kitty. Keeping in mind the needs of both PC and console gamers, Splitfish has announced to bring forth its latest power conserving precision mouse FPS controller namely the FragFX Shark for the PS3, PC and Mac.

Enveloping the green cause, Splitfish has designed the controller with power conserving technology. The FragFX Shark operates with a single AA battery in the split fragchuck and mouse. The controller can be employed ceaselessly for more than 50 hours of gaming time and will function for approximately 500 hours when on standby mode. To keep it away from the clutter and prove the device’s advantages, the company has invited Call of Duty champ Dennis Dozier to take on challenges from other players.

“I love being able to use a mouse for FPS on any platform. Demonstrating Splitfish’s intelligent, high performance gear for playing FPS on game consoles versus standard type controllers, gives me an opportunity to show why mouse gaming on a console for me is hands down no brainer. The FragFX Shark is the new standard for what console FPS gaming should be,” remarked Teflon Hearts Team Leader Dennis Dozier (zDD).

Along with the FragFX Shark, two other controllers which will mark their first appearance at the convention include FragFX Piranha and Baracuda. These peripherals have been crafted to gratify PS3 gamers with their innovative, affordable and customizable character. The display will also highlight the dual handed, programmable Motion FragFX Evolution Wireless controller. The company states that the Evo will offer an edge to gamers while playing sport-based games such as Madden 11.

Gamescom 2010 starts this week, running from August 18 to August 22, 2010.
