Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gaming Eyewear Unveiled by Gunnar Optiks

As the build-up to this fall’s massive releases heats up, Gunnar Optiks, in partnership with Activision has announced its limited edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 gaming eyewear. Slated to release on the same day as the game, these glasses feature a new form and function based on Modern Warfare 3.

The glasses apparently sport a fighter-inspired design which is characterized by Gunnar’s i-AMP lens technology. The eyewear’s adjustable nose pads are meant to accommodate a ‘wide range’ of facial features while its venting details are inspired by the latest technology in military machinery. Custom spring hinges, a magnesium alloy frame and wide coverage lenses are some of its other features.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s release this November will no doubt be the event of the year and is certain to achieve a new level of action-packed, unflinching entertainment. Gunnar has supported gamers over the years helping them to enhance their vision and protect their eyes with our expanded line of MLG, SteelSeries and Call of Duty: Black Ops edition gaming eyewear, and we’re pleased to continue this with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,” revealed, Rob Aarnes, president of Gunnar Optiks.

Customers who purchase these glasses will get a carrying case and a cleaning cloth, both of which will be embossed with Modern Warfare 3 artwork. This gaming eyewear will be sold in the North America and select European countries through Best Buy retail locations.

The Best Buy website will start taking pre-orders for Gunnar Optiks’ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 gaming eyewear in late August. They will hit markets on November 8, 2011 and are expected to bear a price tag of 99 USD (approx Rs. 4,516).
