A pet simulation game, Fantastic Pets has been crafted to make the most out of the Kinect’s motion-sensing abilities. Taking the concept of augmented reality to a new level, the game allows players to interact with both ordinary puppies and whimsical dragons in real time across their TV screens with simple gestures and voice commands.

“Fantastic Pets is an amazing game that lets kids play with their virtual pets in a whole new way,” explained Martin Good, THQ Executive Vice President, Kids, Family and Casual Division. “Kinect made it possible for us to be among the first to explore and develop an augmented reality game unlike any other. In this game, kids are able to see their pets come to life next to them on the TV screen as if they were real.”

In the title, gamers can kick start an adventurous journey with a dog, cat, horse and lizard. Further, they can raise, groom and feed their pets by way of numerous mini-games such as popping piñatas. It has been revealed that players will also have the power to transform them into violent dragons and mystical unicorns.

Developed by Blitz Games, Fantastic Pets can be purchased from stores across the US for an estimated retail price of 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,212).
