Nintendo Wii Nowhere Near A Price Cut: Reggie Fils-Aime

Gamers looking to buy new consoles have been waiting to hear words ‘price cut’ from console makers. Sony earlier this year had indicated that there will not be any PS3 price cuts in 2008 while Microsoft already cut the price of the Xbox 360 and saw some good results due to it. But then what about the Nintendo Wii?

The Wii has been performing very well and many gamers are looking forward to buy the present generation console from Nintendo. However, there has never been any mention of a Wii price cut by the Japanese company. Now Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has asserted that when he spoke to Forbes about the Wii price cuts. He had this to say:

“At some point, it will be time to adjust the (price), but we are nowhere near that point now.”

But it would be great if Nintendo cuts the price of the Wii. The Xbox 360 Arcade version already sells cheaper than it in Japan. Nintendo would have surely made a note on that. Let’s hope that Nintendo has something cheerful to bring for the gamers this holiday season.
