Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 2 comes as WiiWare this Week

This week two WiiWare titles and one Virtual Console game come with one Nintendo DSiWare title as part of the Nintendo Download. Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 2 and 3-2-1, Rattle Battle! Are now available as WiiWare, while Phantasy Star is available on the VC section and Puzzle League Express has been released as DSiWare.

Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 2 is the WiiWare title which follows Guybrush’s adventures on the high seas. He must defend the Mer-People and avoid the pirate hunter hot on his trail. He catches up with his wife and then has to eradicate the Pox of LeChuck. Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 2 from Telltale Games is for one player and can be downloaded for 1000 Wii Points.

3-2-1, Rattle Battle! on WiiWare, is the party game from Tecmo, filled with exciting mini-games. Anyone can play this game with its easy to use Wii controls. Players can register their high scores on the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to compare their achievements against others from all over the world. 3-2-1, Rattle Battle! is for one player and can be downloaded for 500 Wii Points.

The Virtual Console section is hit with Phantasy Star, which was originally released on the Sega Master System, and is a role playing game pioneer. The game follows Alis, the female lead, as she sets out to avenge her brother’s death by King Lassic. Players traverse the Agol solar system to overpower King Lassic and free the people of Agol, where they come face-to-face with magicians, giants, dragons and ghouls. Phantasy Star is for one player and can be purchased by redeeming 500 Wii Points.

Puzzle League Express

The popular Puzzle League comes to the Nintendo DSiWare in the form of Puzzle League Express, a puzzler with a simple yet engaging concept. The game features four single player modes, Endless, in which a player must survive to earn a high score, Clear, in which a player gets rid of all the blocks above the line, Score Attack, in which a player must score as much as possible in two minutes, and the Vs. COM mode, in which a player can use numerous items and combos to attack a computer controlled opponent. DSi users can even select background music and can either hold the console normally, or like a book to play the game. Puzzle League Express is published by Nintendo and is for one player. The game can be purchased for 500 Nintendo DSi Points.

Nintendo adds new titles to the Wii Shop Channel and the DSi Shop every Monday at 9 am, Pacific Time. Nintendo console owners with a broadband connection can download the games by redeeming points from a Nintendo Points Card.
