World Cyber Games Holiday Clash Announced By Intel and eSportsTV

Intel has announced the World Cyber Games Holiday Clash with Web-based videogame broadcaster eSportsTV. The tournament will feature Quake 4 and Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs.

The prizes for the event are:

1st Place:

1. In addition to a $1,000 cash prize, first place winners in each game will receive an Intel Core 2 Extreme quad core processor-powered Gateway PC (a $5,000 value), and a Microsoft PC Game Pack, which includes: Lego, Star Wars II, Flight Sim X, Company of Heroes and Zoo Tycoon 2: Zookeepers Collection, among others.

2nd Place: Second place winners will receive an Intel Core 2 Extreme dual core processor, a Samsung 931C gaming monitor and the Microsoft PC Game Pack.

3rd Place: The third place finishers will get an Intel Core 2 Extreme dual core processor as well as the Microsoft PC Game Pack. The approximate total value of the cash and prizes is over $16,000.

Registration for the World Cyber Games Holiday Clash is free. The competition will run from December 11 – 17, 2006 while the registration closes on 7th December. The games will be beamed live on eSportsTV.
