You might be well aware of the fact that the vice president of Epic Games, Mark Rein, is very active on the forums. This time around, as usual Rein put up a thread on the Official Unreal Tournament 3 forum that the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 will have support for keyboard and mouse.
This is what Mark Rein posted about Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3:
- Folks, I checked with Steve Polge and he said that YES we are supporting keyboard and mouse in Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3. He is confident we are doing it in a way that will be balanced without feeling “gimped” for either side. We’ll also allow people to choose whether or not they want to allow mixed controller vs. keyboard/mouse games or not. I think you guys are going to love UT3! More details to come later.
Mark Rein also indicated that they are yet to decide about the cross-platform gameplay of the PS3 and PC versions of Unreal Tournament 3. As for the Xbox 360 version, he said that they don’t have anything new to report about. It was revealed at E3 2007 that UT 3 will be exclusive for the PS3 and PC this year.
