Skyrim 1.2 Update Rolls Out for PS3; PC and Xbox 360 Versions Coming Tomorrow

A post on the Bethesda blog has revealed that the Skyrim 1.2 update has been released by the developer for the PS3. The Xbox 360 and PC versions of the same are scheduled to go live tomorrow. Patch notes of this update for all three platforms have also been outed by the developer.

On PSN, this update has been labeled as 2.01 and introduces fixes for performance issues suffered occasionally by PS3 gamers during long term play. For the Xbox 360, this update will repair the issue of textures not upgrading accurately when the game is installed to the drive. For the PC, some rare startup crashes due to the audio being set to a sample rate other than 44100Hz will also be fixed by this patch.

“After releasing the 1.2 update, we will continue to monitor forums, blogs, etc. for issues you are reporting, and we will keep you updated on further updates to improve your gameplay experience. Thanks for playing Skyrim,” read a post on the blog.

On all the platforms the problem of projectiles not fading properly has been done away with, and so is the issue of a guest arriving at players wedding dead. The Skeleton Key in this game will now work correctly if the player has no lockpicks in their inventory. Other issues which will be solved by this patch include those of dragons not attacking, dead corpses being cleared up prematurely, dragons not properly giving souls after dying and more.

The PC version of the Skyrim 1.2 update will introduce fixes related to mouse sensitivity and remapping of buttons and controls. Moreover, players will be able to use the ESC button to exit menus.

PS3 gamers all over the world can now download the Skyrim 1.2 update for the title. Xbox 360 and PC users will have to wait till tomorrow to get this patch.
