Billy Joel to Join Rock Band 3 Music Library

Last week, The Doors confirmed their seat in the Rock Band 3 auditorium. Now, Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that the new installment in the series will feature Billy Joel’s creations as well. Popularly known as The Piano Man, Billy Joel has churned out melodious notes from the black and white keys of the instrument for delivering remarkable tracks.

“We are very excited to count Billy Joel’s celebrated songs among the first downloadable content available for Rock Band 3,” enthused Paul DeGooyer, Senior Vice President of Electronic Games, Music and Programming for MTV Networks. “The moment our fans heard we were adding keyboard game play, they have been clamoring for music from The Piano Man. We are delighted to be working with Billy to allow our fans to play his killer arrangements in Rock Band – especially the fantastic keyboard parts.”

“The addition of the keyboard made me interested in bringing my music to Rock Band. The game introduces music to an enthusiastic audience in a powerful way, and now also helps players get a grasp on the fundamentals of the keyboard,” commented Billy Joel.

The following tracks created by Billy Joel will make their way onto the Rock Band 3 music library:

    Big Shot.
    Captain Jack.
It’s Still Rock N Roll to Me.
    Movin’ Out.
    Only The Good Die Young.
    Piano Man.
    Pressure.
    Say Goodbye to Hollywood.
    The Entertainer.
    The Stranger.

Billy Joel’s compositions will be included in the Rock Band 3 collection from December 14, 2010. However, we’ve not yet heard about the pricing details. This new chapter has been scheduled to hit stores tomorrow across North America while it will sail to other shores by October 29, 2010 for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Nintendo DS.
