THQ announced recently on the PlayStation blog that their third-person arcade-style shooter, which is based on a tabletop miniature wargame, will release for the PS3 through PSN on August 2. The game puts players in the shoes of a soldier from the Space Marine team sent to destroy the Ork Kroozer.
This title has been developed as a prelude to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Throughout the game, players must kill the Warboss and prevent the WAAAGH. They can choose their characters from four classes – Sternguard, Veteran, Techmarine as well as Vanguard Veteran and Librarian. Characters and weapons can be upgraded over the course of time. A same screen co-op feature is also included in the game.
By completing the first mission in this title, gamers can unlock the Power Sword weapon for use in the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine which is slated to release next month. Gamers will be able to swap out weapons and equip their soldiers with classic 40,000 items of death.
Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team which is already available on Xbox Live will launch tomorrow on the PSN with a price tag of 9.99 USD (approx Rs. 441).
