Sony released its completely revamped handheld, the PSPgo some time ago which featured a sliding screen and internal storage capacity, getting rid of the UMD system that the company has for the PSP. Now Marketing Manager of the PSP, Kristin Neirinckx writes in a PlayStation Blog post that this June there are several new promotions lined up for the PSP family of consoles.
Probably the best of these deals comes for the PSPgo. Those who purchase a PSPgo from now through to March 31, 2011 will receive three free games. New buyers will be sent an e-mail once they register on the PlayStation Network. The e-mail will contain a voucher which will allow them to download three games absolutely free from the PlayStation Store. Premier titles available to choose from for the PSPgo “Digital Game Pack” will include LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters and Socom: Fireteam Bravo 3.
Sony has also introduced a new “Favourites” software line which comprises of a variety of favourite titles including Ape Escape: On the Loose, Buzz! Master Quiz, Hot Shots Golf Open Tee, LocoRoco 2, Patapon 2, PixelJunk Monster Deluxe, Socom: Fireteam Bravo, Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, and Twisted Metal: Head On. The company has also partnered with game publishers to include titles such as Justice League Heroes, Manhunt 2, Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play, Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection, Silent Hill: Origins, The Sims 2, The Warriors and many more. Each will be available at just 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 465).
Four more games have made it to the PSP Greatest Hits Collection. These include Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet (for the PSP), Resistance: Retribution, and Secret Agent Clank. These titles are now available at a price of 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 930).
