Ubisoft’s real-time strategy game namely R.U.S.E. has been expanded with two DLC packs in the past. The company unleashed The Manhattan Project bundle in December followed by The Chimera Pack earlier this year. The publisher has now released a new DLC offering dubbed The Pack of The Rising Sun for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Through this new add-on, gamers can command the Japanese Army through both the single and multiplayer modes. It also brings 29 new units and factories into the picture through three exclusive operations. Referred to as Gold for the Brave, Ostfriesland and For Honour, these missions have been committed to the Imperial Japanese Army.
The Fort Knox or Gold for the Brave requires players to shield the Federal Reserve gold as a member of the Kentucky National Guard. The next operation, Ostfreislanf, sets out a strike force from the German land against the British XIIth corp. In the For Honour challenge, gamers will have to battle on the island of Java as the Imperial Air Force with the Japanese garrison.
Plugged as an unusual playable faction, the Japanese unit in the game works with half-buried bunkers and a flamethrower-equipped element called Dokuritsu Kôhei. With other unconventional weapons in their arsenal such as the Ha-Go and Chi-Ri, this group has been touted to portray grit and determination. In addition, it also flaunts prototypes of the AOV recon and the Ha-To long range gun.
